Portraits are picking up in Quarter Two. The great thing about the portraits for LeFever is getting to know the sitter. During this quarter the sittings have been neutral. That is the sitters have come to the session cold without any particular idea or art direction for a final shot. More or less, make a portrait. Except for one particular shot asked for in the classic B&W movie head shot genre, the rest have been purely captured from the magic of the moment. Lefever's main emphasis was on lighting and then letting each sitter get comfortable with the shoot. As usual, the magic happened and the fun began. An example of that was the stream of the moment echo poems of Brian Nixon. Nixon started writing during the shoot (while being photographed) and as LeFever talked, Nixon wrote picking up on words he would hear after completing each scribing, as if randomly but sequentially dictating on echo delay. |

LeFever's interest is in editorial and corporate portraits for commercial use (the "crazier the better" according to LeFever). This quarter the portraits were fairly tame though LeFever is putting the word out for more elaborate portrayals bordering on the adventurous.
The sitters from the top are Pastor, author, Radio personality, and scholar, Brian Nixon and two of his children, Sutherland Raquel and Cailan Thomas.
The two to the left flanking Brian's "Echo Poem" is Jack Fearing Jr., Creative and Art Director for Moss Warner

Above to the Right is investment banker Larry DeSantis
To the left is Milo, future star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
