MISSOURI WEDDING

Bryan and Kira at Precious Moments ...

An opportunity to capture life beyond fantasy...
Though LeFever rarely agrees to shoot weddings, he accepts an invitation to Missouri when given the freedom to capture a couple days in the life of Bryan and Kira. Given that much of what passes in wedding photography today as "Photo Journalistic" style, is really a romantic construction of the photographer, a parody of the event as if removed from reality and stepped up to a magazine advertising dream - LeFever was interested in just documenting the life of the wedding by following around the couple and avoiding the posed constructed moments - if they happened naturally - great - Bryan and Kira were game and plans to meet in Missouri were put on paper.

PRECIOUS MOMENTS

Photos began at arrival to the hotel with the kids in the hotel pool, Pizza in the hotel room, Bowling downtown Carthage. Even the following day with photos in the car and a trip to Walmart for shoes for one of the grooms men, lunch at Precious Moments cafeteria, the fountain show and the chapel and grounds of Precious Moments. It was simply a recording of Brian and Kira's life as they spent the days prior to being married.

THE WEDDING

The wedding was small comprised of only the closest friends and immediate family who could make the journey from California to Missouri. Wedding day included the usual pre wedding preparations and the wedding portraits which were set off by the sun setting on the old Victorian style mansion where the reception was held.

At top, Bryan rests in the children's playroom at the Precious Moments gift store. Above & above left, Bryan and Kira, husband and wife. Left Kira in in her wedding gown portrait before the wedding. Below and below left, Bryan and Kira's daughter, Payton. At bottom left and right, Bryan's mother in the church, and Kira's mother getting ready for the wedding.

"You are truly talented at what you do and my whole family has been talking about how awesome you were and how impressed they were with your commitment and caring. Thank you, Jeff, for everything..." ~ Kira
