At home with Dale and Jonalyn Fincher and a scenic tour of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
LeFever in Steamboat Springs
Steamboat Springs is known around the globe simply as Ski Town, U.S.A.® and has produced more winter Olympians than any other town in North America. It is known for its exceptional beauty as well. Steamboat is a world class resort and also the Winter wonderland and home of Dale and Jonalyn Fincher. The assignment in Steamboat Springs with Dale and Jonalyn Fincher launches LeFever's newest photographic service for editorial publications and annual reportage: Life Style Photography.
COUNTRYSIDE
Historically, Steamboat's economy is built on ranching. "We wanted Jeff to capture this less-touristy side of Steamboat by driving along the Elk River and capturing the farmhouses and hay barns," offers Dale. In the background (above) is the ubiquitous presence of Mt. Werner, Steamboat's ski mountain which has produced more olympians than any other in the USA.
"Thanks, Jeff, for your fine work. Your presence behind the camera adds a fresh dimension to our image for our non-profit. You've done a superb job capturing us both in the studio and in the field. We look forward to our next photoshoot."
"We appreciate Jeff's warmth and creativity on location and wanted lifestyle shots to send to friends and capture enduring memories.
"We took several walks around the area, from Fish Creek Falls to the Yampa River. Having Lady Lucy, Lady Jane, and Lady Victoria--our three Corgis--make it a special treat, especially as we all play in the snow."
THE LAST of the PAST
"Downtown Steamboat is in transition and we are glad LeFever appreciated both the beauty and the peculiar sides of the town," remarks Dale.
"Rabbit Ears Hotel is now a historical landmark for Steamboat and the retro neon sign will live on for a long while longer.
"The Space Station gas station, a long-time resident of downtown is slated for demolition. LeFever has preserved some funky history."
